Econoline Crush Filed A Lawsuit to NickelBack

The Vancouver-based industrial rock outfit Econoline Crush has slapped with a lawsuit to Nickelback.
In a California District Court a lawsuit has been filed by the Econoline Crush at the start of this month and also cited Roadrunner Records, EMI Canada and Warner/Chappell Music as defendants in the suit.
They say that Nickelback's track "bears a substantial similarity" to their own and that the rock giants plagiarized that track "maliciously and willfully and with a conscious disregard" for their copyright.
The suit adds that Econoline Crush is looking for "all damages permitted by Federal Copyright law" consisting damages for income lost as well as punitive damages.
"All That You Are" appeared on Econoline Crush's 1997 EP The Devil You Know, which has since been certified platinum.
